Jim Sweeney - Logistics Specialist

With over 20 years of extensive experience in the logistics industry, Jim Sweeney has amassed an immense amount of knowledge in the logistics sector. His expertise traverses multiple service platforms, providing quality as well as cost effective options in this very competitive landscape.

Understanding the shipping ecosystem is something which can only be born from decades of experience. Jim applies his forward-thinking capabilities to scenarios which will offer the best service to his client. Whether it be less than truckload (LTL) solutions, freight forwarding services, large scale international and domestic transport projects, or ensuring the management of urgent and time-critical shipments, Jim and the ST Global Solutions team will never disappoint.  
 

Jim’s many years of hands-on experience with air, ground, rail and waterborne transportation channels affords a level of client satisfaction which makes ST Global a “one stop shop” for all of your logistics needs. Jim is a lifelong resident of Walnut Creek, California. Proudly serving in the United States Army until receiving an honorable discharge in 1991. After his tenure in the armed forces Jim transitioned to the shipping industry where he built a distinguished career spanning over two decades.

Robert Turner

Robert Turner is a highly respected professional in the logistics industry. During his 35-year tenure at Aeronet, Bob consistently created an environment of camaraderie, strong revenue growth, and operational success.
 

With the ability to harness the energies of his sales team and his peers, Bob (to those who know him in the industry) created exponential financial growth as well as a reputation to be a reliable resource even in high pressure logistics scenarios. Bob’s consistency in growing revenue for Aeronet was in part due to his vast knowledge of the industry, strategic hiring, and operational movements. When requested to increase deal flow in the struggling Los Angeles branch of the company, Bob transformed that office from $750,000.00 in revenue to over $6.5 million dollars in revenue per month inside of  years.
 

Bob’s proficiency in Business to Business, Warehouse Management Systems, Operations Management, Enterprise Account Management eventually led to his appointment as Chief Executive Officer at Aeronet. His capabilities to understand the intricacies of each division made Bob the perfect leader for the company.  Bob’s ability to reach out at the C-suite level of countless global logistics companies only furthered his ability to provide unparalleled service to their clients. Cost competitive, efficient, reliable, and bespoke service programs were something expected by those who worked with Bob, and he and his team always delivered. Due to his incredible track record, Bob was given the responsibility to nurture and manage business to business relationships with various Fortune 100 to 1000 corporations.
 

Bob and Jim Sweeney worked for many years side by side in creating programs whereby no client or project was too big or too small. Their collective demeanor and genuine dedication to quality of service being provided to their clients greatly differentiated them from the competition. Working relationships which were formed lasted years to decades, and the accolades provided for their amazing service only provided support for future business. By deploying innovative solutions, via AI and other technological advances in logistics software, Bob and Jim have deployed various intuitive e-commerce solutions and other state of art solutions for their clientele.
 

Bob has successfully worked with the following companies: Tesla, Network Appliance, GE Hydro, Arista Networks, ePlus Technologies, Trace3, Intuitive Surgical, Meta/Facebook, Irvine Scientific, Abbott Labs, Boston Scientific, Verizon, Cisco, Lam Research, Sensor Medics, and BD Bio, just to name a few. In order for facilitate outstanding logistics support, Bob continues to work directly with the C-Suite teams of American Airlines, United, Southwest Domestic, Dimerco both international and domestic with primary emphasis on Asia, FedEx, DHL, and various freight forwarders. His responsibility often transcends coordinating point to point deliveries of product on the ground or in the air. In fact, another career high point was creating and implementing the plan for the seamless transition with zero down time on operations when managing critical operational needs at the Tesla NUMMI plant.
 

As previously mentioned, there is no task too big for Bob and his resources. During the winery fires, Bob was required to move a 747-jet engine from Florida to California to bring one of the Supertankers into operational status. This plane was crucial to fighting the continued spread of the fires. The pressure was incredible on Bob and his team, they had to have the engine delivered within 3 days. They made their deadline, the mission was accomplished, and the fires were successfully extinguished.
 

Bob is a true humanitarian. When working with Sensor Medics, over the course of 4 years, Bob developed 60 depots to provide HFOV treatment (High Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation). This type of treatment is critical in saving the lives of pre-mature babies. Working all hours of the day and night, these units were utilized on these preemies, who were often the size of dollar bill, instead of conventional ventilators, as the air pressure from those units were too strong, and it could kill them. As rewarding as it was, every effort did not result in saving the baby, and those outcomes were heartbreaking.

Bob continues taking pride in any responsibility afforded to him, his work and personal ethics are second to none. He is the true definition of a leader, a critical thinker, and innovator in the logistics sector.
